A system for monitoring the temperature of the overhead line conductor, a system for monitoring the intensity of ice formation, and short-circuit indicators from Russian manufacturers were installed at the facility.

Monitoring of overhead lines using this equipment affords the possibility to remotely monitor a number of the main parameters in overhead lines and, as a result, diagnose and prevent emergency situations.

The devices are equipped with both batteries and solar panels, which increases their energy efficiency.

The systems were successfully operated in the autumn and winter period, and the second stage of installing additional equipment is undergoing preparations.

This project is being carried out within the framework of a tripartite agreement for the implementation of a comprehensive pilot project Reliable Distribution Grids between Rosseti North-West, NordGrid LLC and the Skolkovo Foundation.
