The icebreaker "Evpatiy Kolovrat" of Project 21180M, built at PJSC SF "ALMAZ" in St. Petersburg for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy, arrived in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on July 22, 2023. The tasks of the newest icebreaker "Evpatiy Kolovrat", in addition to delivering cargoes to remote garrisons, will include escorting warships in ice conditions, transportation of crews and hydrographic work. NordGrid LLC participated in the project as part of the supply of cable electric heating systems. This system is realized on the basis of self-regulating heating cables, it allows to prevent formation of snow cover and icing of ship structures and systems. The electric heating system is a modern and advanced solution in de-icing.
