The electrical heat tracing system is designed to protect against icing and to maintain a positive temperature of vital systems and ship equipement (drainage systems, fire extinguishing, ventilation, access), ), as well as maintaining a minimum temperature of +5°C on deck surfaces, steps and handrails of ladders, escape routes to rescue vehicles.

The system is based on self-regulating heating cables of different capacities and allows you to select the necessary and sufficient parameters to maintain a positive surface temperature +3 to +5ºC, in order to prevent icing on the ship's structural elements and prevent the shutdown of vital systems located on open parts of the ship. Installation of this system allows crew to move around the ship more safely in all scenarios, routine or extraordinary in nature, to perform operational tasks more swiftly. The crews will need to spend less effort managing icing on the ship during the winter navigation period, which increases operational efficiency in the performance of their official duties.

The system fully meets the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping in terms of ship equipment in compliance with the ANTI-ICE mark (section 4, volume 5 of the Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Marine Vessels), and is a safe and energy-efficient alternative to conventional de-icing methods.
